What you enter
FLIPNIVA works without an account. Number Mode creates numbered entries from the count you provide. Name Mode processes the names or labels you type, paste or import. The browser reads TXT and CSV files and runs draws locally. Tool code does not send your rosters, settings, imported files or results to the website server or to another service.
Real names, including student names, can be personal information. Use numbers or labels where they meet your needs. Consider who can see your screen, browser profile or exported files.
What your browser stores
- IndexedDB. The site saves lists you explicitly create, picker settings that can include the last roster text, and up to 200 recent result records across tools. A record can include the tool name, draw time and results.
- Session storage. Single-pick tools use the current tab’s session storage to restore a round on reload. That can include roster inputs, remaining entries and results. Batch result views are temporary, while their results can still appear in Picked History.
- Example sessions. Try This Example opens a separate tab with sample inputs. Its results and history stay in that page’s memory, separate from your saved workspace.
Saved data belongs to this site and browser profile. Another browser, profile or device may have a different workspace. Private browsing, browser settings, clearing site data and browser storage limits can affect what is saved or retained.
Backups and downloads
A JSON backup can contain lists, settings and history. Confirming a restore replaces those saved items with the backup contents. It does not resume a previous round. CSV exports contain the current tool results. Both file types are created in your browser and may contain names. Store and share downloaded files with care.
Remove local data
In Picked History, use a record’s delete button or confirm Clear All to remove the shared history. Reset clears the current round separately. In Saved lists, select a list and choose Delete selected. A name can still appear in the active roster, a result or a downloaded file after you delete the saved list.
Use Clear local data under Local data & backups to remove saved lists, history and settings and reset the current tool. Close other open FLIPNIVA tabs that may still contain a round. You can also remove the site’s stored data in your browser. Manage existing downloads separately.
Cookies and page requests
The site code does not set cookies or load analytics, advertising scripts or third-party scripts. Images, including licensed photographs, are served with the site. Text uses system fonts. Loading a page or asset still sends a web request to the server, which receives network information such as your IP address. That request is separate from the roster and draw data handled in your browser.
Privacy questions
The controls above let you view, export or delete data in your browser. Any privacy rights you have under applicable law still apply. Email lingjok6@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests. Your email service handles messages you send. Keep student rosters and backup files out of your message.
